Lamington Group is an independent, family-owned business comprising brands such as room2, Lamington Apartments, Lamington Developments, Lamington Lettings, and Missionworks. The Board of Directors drives the company’s sustainable mission and continues the ever-growing success of its innovative brands, including room2 hometels, known for their unique model of offerings.

Our Board of Directors works to create improved governance and accountability, ensuring that the group adheres to industry standards while also fostering greater transparency across operations. Through the board members’ industry connections and access to professional networks, they play a key role in identifying new opportunities for growth and supporting Lamington Group’s ambitious expansion plans.

Meet our Board Members

Robert Godwin

CEO (Executive Director)

Robert Godwin is known for his innovative approach to hospitality and commitment to sustainability. A trained economist and entrepreneur, Robert's journey includes a background in competitive sailing for Great Britain, showcasing his drive for excellence. With a passion for design, sustainability, and creating exceptional user experiences, he continuously pushes the boundaries of what's possible in his field.

Robert Ryan

Non Executive Director

Experienced Property Director and Development Manager in operational real estate, specialising in hotels, serviced apartments and serviced offices. Previously held roles at Whitbread and Travelodge, and now works with a small portfolio of companies in Board roles.

Stuart Godwin

MD (Executive Director)

Managing Director of Lamington Group, is a chartered accountant and ex member of the British Olympic Development Sailing team. His role oversees all operational aspects of Lamington Group.

Ufi Ibrahim

Non Executive Director

CEO at the Environmental & Energy Alliance (EEA), promoting sustainable hospitality investment. Previously served as CEO, British Hospitality Association and COO, World Travel & Tourism Council. Ufi is also a Board Director and Commissioner at the Food Farming and Countryside Commission.

Merzak Kaddour

Non Executive Director

Merzak is a respected hospitality industry and structured finance professional with over 20 years of diverse, hands-on experience in areas of Hotels & Leisure operations and development, workouts and restructuring, asset management and debt origination. Previously Investment Director at Edyn Group, Founder of Locke Aparthotels, and Head of Hospitality & Leisure Finance at National Australia Group (Europe) amongst other roles.

Gillian Godwin

Executive Director

Alongside Founder Stuart Godwin Snr, Gillian established Lamington's letting agency in the 1990s, whilst growing the company’s base of real estate. In 2006 she initiated the shift towards a serviced apartment operational business ahead of the wider market. Now retired, Gillian enjoys the countryside with her dog, volunteering, gardening, and visits to Glyndebourne.
