To heat and cool our building we use heat pumps. 200m long loops extract heat energy from the earth and draw it to heating, and hot water. Reversing this process cools the building. Overall it’s 36% more efficient than a typical hotel.

Roman and Anglo Saxon artefacts at room2 hotel York site

Work started on the new room2 hotel in Piccadilly in the Summer last year on the site of the former tax office, Swinson House. The discoveries were made following in-depth archaeological investigations alongside the main contractor, Clegg Construction, and On-Site Archaeology.
